Nepal hopeful of socio-economic transformation of country

KATHMANDU, March 6: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the responsibility to develop the country had fallen on the left force.

Commenting on reports that the left alliance would turn authoritarian, he said, “Leftists believe in peoples’ spirits. They won’t adopt dictatorship. There is no need to worry about it.” Nepal was addressing the meeting of the legislature-parliament at Baneshwor on Tuesday.

He was of the view that Nepal could pursue socio-economic transformation, and reach the highest point of prosperity within a couple of years by creating employment opportunities.

The government would ensure good governance and justice to the people and increase productivity, he believed.

“The KP Oli-led government will get a vote of confidence soon, and a base will be created for the country to get prosperity,” he said. RSS
