PM’s India visit to dwell on economic development
KATHMANDU, April 1: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s three-day state visit to India beginning coming Friday is not inking any new treaty and agreement.
A senior member of the Council of Ministers said that the PM’s India visit would be focused on further strengthening the bilateral ties and identifying new dimensions and avenues for mutual relations.
Talking to media persons covering diplomatic issues, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Kumar Gyawali said the PM is visiting India by keeping economic development of as the main agenda.
“PM’s visit would be focused on Nepal’s economic progress and prosperity. India can announce something great as its gesture for goodwill,” he added.
Minister Gyawali said implementation of the past agreements held between Nepal-India would be raised with due importance and top priority accorded for promotion of mutual goodwill.
“This is right time to better strengthen relations with India,” he underscored.
On different context, Minister Gyawali said the government was committed to implementing the agreements signed with the People’s Republic of China as per Nepal’s national interest and necessity.
The Foreign Affairs Minister also said Nepal was firm to prevent Nepal’s soil to be used against any of the neighboring countries. RSS
