Insignia conferred to newly appointed IGPs

KATHMANDU, April 12: Newly appointed Inspector General of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khanal and Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Sailendra Khanal were conferred their respective IG Insignia on Thursday.

Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai presented the badge to the newly promoted IGPs amid a special function held at the Ministry of Home Affairs this morning. Both the IGs will assume office from today itself.

Outgoing IG of Nepal Police Prakash Aryal and IG of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha retired on Wednesday due to the 30 years service limit.
