Unification could take a month or more time to conclude: Maoist Center
KATHMANDU, April 22: CPN (Maoist Center) Sunday said that the unification with CPN-UML may take a month or more time to conclude.
Talking to reporters after an extended meeting of the party held at Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s private residence in Khumaltar, party Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal said that the unification with UML could take more time to conclude as many crucial issues are yet to sorted out.
“We cannot haste on of party merger. There are many important issues yet to be settled. The date for unification cannot be declared right now,” she said.
“The unification could take more time, even months,” she added.
Chair Dahal briefed the meeting about his discussion with UML Chair regarding party unification coordination committee’s reports.
Dahal told the meeting that the bilateral talks and discussions on the political and organizational issues were heading positively and assured that merging process was going ahead to ensure the unification as per the interests of both parties and the nation, according to Spokesperson Bhusal.
The meeting concluded with a remark ‘for a dignified merger’.
