Deliberations on govt policy and program begin

KATHMANDU, May 24: Deliberations on the government’s policy and program presented by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Monday have started in the House of Representatives today.

While taking part on the deliberations, lawmaker Dr Baburam Bhattarai commented that the policy and program was positive as it mentioned to double the per capita income, end unemployment, generate 5,000 megawatt power among others in five years were mentioned in the policy and program.

The policy and program had mentioned the infrastructure development but clarity was utmost to achieve the goals, he furthered.

He further suggested the government bringing concrete plan rather ambitious ones. Lawmaker Bhattarai also coordinator of Naya Shakti Nepal Party opined to invite foreign investment by keeping national interest in center.

Dr Bhattarai also former Prime Minister urged the government to concretize the program to institutionalize the federalism in the country.

Similarly, lawmaker Bishal Bhattarai stressed on preparing the concrete foundation for the implementation of the policy and program.

Lawmaker Yagya Raj Sunar said that the policy and program was effective as it focused on various areas with concrete programs. RSS
