PM says is ready to amend constitution for development, prosperity

KATHMANDU, June 5: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has said that constitution amendment to supplementary budget would be unveiled to advance the agendas of development and prosperity in the country.

At a meeting of National Development Problem Resolution Committee held on Monday evening, the Prime Minister Oli said that the government would leave no stone unturned to meet the goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’ adding that it was the main goal of the government.

“Now, our priority is development and good governance and all mechanisms should be used for this and all the laws and rules can be changed as per the necessity,” according to the PM.

Stressing that all the state mechanisms should assist with the government in its development agendas, PM Oli made it clear that all ministries, constitutional bodies and others should not stop the activities of development and prosperity.

PM Oli, who is also the chairman of the Committee, said that the constitutional bodies should not hamper and impede the development and prosperity rather they should extend support.

The Prime Minister opined that all sorts of the international assistance coming in to the country should be spent as per the necessity of the state adding that the foreign assistance would be accepted based on the country’s necessity and priorities. RSS
