Nepal Communist Party registered at EC
KATHMANDU, June 6 : Nepal Communist Party (NCP), which was formed after the merger between the two largest communist parties of the country–CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), has been registered at the Election Commission of Nepal on Wednesday.
A meeting of the EC committee meeting held today took the decision to register the new communist party, NCP, which was merged into one from the integration of two communist parties, said EC’s Legal Officer Arun Kumar Jha.
The newly-formed party had submitted an application for the registration of the new party to the EC for the registration of the party on May 17.
