Persons involved in murder during armed conflict should not be granted amnesty: Deuba
BHAKTAPUR, June 7: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the persons found involved in murder during the armed conflict should not be granted amnesty.
Speaking at a program organized on the 6th memorial day of martyr Radheshyam Jonchhe organized by the Memorial Trust in Bhaktapur on Thursday, Deuba said that action should be taken against those the murder convicts.
“The murder of Jhonchhe during the conflict was a crime,” he added.
He further opined for following the path shown by such martyrs.
Similarly, former speaker at the Parliament Daman Nath Dhungana focused on ending intra party groupism.
Likewise, other speakers highlighted the contribution of Jhonche, a democratic fighter.
