Dream for prosperous Nepal will be fulfilled: PM Oli
BEIJING, June 20: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, who is in the official visit of the People’s Republic of China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, has said that dream for a prosperous Nepal would be fulfilled from the country’s internal means and resources, and neighboring countries’ supports.
Addressing the program organized to sign the MoUs between the government and private companies of both the countries at the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing this morning, PM Oli said that the peoples of both the countries can benefit from the joint investments and cooperation.
Agreements on separate eight MoUs would contribute to friendship, understanding and cooperation of the two countries and the moves would result in Nepal’s economic development and wellbeing of the peoples of both countries, PM Oli expressed his confidence.
“My second visit (in China) being taken place in a different yet better context would be fruitful. It will further deepen Nepal-China relations. I have arrived with strong conviction, expectation and goodwill to heighten the mutual relations,” the PM said.
PM Oli had visited China in March 2016 during his first premiership.
Saying that the government would move ahead with a stable and clear perspective, PM Oli added that environment conducive has been created for development and prosperity.
The PM was of the view that cooperation should be stressed in the sectors of tourism, agriculture and industry, and intervention was needed in infrastructures and technology transfer for agriculture also by promoting entrepreneurship to make a prosperous and dynamic country.
PM Oli said, ‘China has immense capacity. It has feeling, readiness and capacity for support. The relation of Nepal-China is multi-dimensional. We will leave no stone unturned to further strengthen the age old Nepal-China friendly relations.”
On the occasion, the PM also expected Chinese supports to reduce Nepal’s ballooning trade deficit and added that favorable situation has been created for good governance and development after the formation of a stable government following the recent elections in Nepal. RSS
