NA meeting obstructed
KATHMANDU, July 4: The meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday has been postponed for 15 minutes due to objection of the opposition party, Nepali Congress.
The meeting was postponed after Nepali Congress’s Parliamentary Party leader of the National Assembly, Surendra Raj Pandey, protested in course of speaking at the special hour.
He demanded the government to inform the House about the issue of declaring different places of Kathmandu Valley as prohibited areas.
Saying the government has turned its deaf ears to the hunger strike staged by Gangamaya Adhikari and has not response the queries raised by lawmakers, Pandey said they would not let the House proceed with its business unless the government addressed the issues.
Soon after that, all the NC lawmakers stood from their respective seats as a gesture of their protest. RSS
