Lower House passes condolence motion in demise of Alam
KATHMANDU, July 15: A meeting of the House of Representatives, the lower house in the Federal Parliament of Nepal, unanimously endorsed a condolence motion at the demise of former lawmaker Mohammed Mustaq Alam.
The leader of Nepal Communist party, and former Minister of State died of a cardiac arrest in the night of July 13. He was brought to the Bansabari-based Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center from his home district Rautahat after he suffered a heart attack Friday, but breathed his last during the treatment same night. He was 53.
In the meeting, Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara read out the condolence motion. The session observed a minute’s silence in the demise of Alam. The Lower House shall meet at 1:00 pm tomorrow. RSS
