NC leader Sitaula calls for govt to save life of Dr KC
CHITWAN, July 23: Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula on Monday demanded that the government should address demands of protesting Prof Dr Gobinda KC.
Dr KC is on a hunger strike for over three weeks demanding reforms in medical education sector.
The senior orthopedic surgeon who chose the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), Jumla for his 15th fast onto-death was taken to Kathmandu last Thursday.
“The government must save the life of Dr KC by addressing his demands,” he said. He said that erstwhile NC-led government had addressed his demands by bringing the medical education ordinance.
“Now the incumbent government has brought the Medical Education Bill after distorting the ordinance. As a result, the problems surfaced,” he added.
