Medical students protest in support of Dr KC at TUTH

KATHMANDU, July 26: Supporters of agitating Dr Govinda KC are staging a demonstration at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Thursday.

Huge numbers of medical students have gathered at TUTH staging the demonstration in order to pressurize the government to address the demands raised by Dr KC.

According to the source, there was a clash between protesters and police personnel when police interfered and tried to stop the mass from going towards the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar from TUTH in Maharajgunj.

Meanwhile, police have detained 25 doctors from the mass.

Dr KC has been staging a hunger strike for the last 27 days demanding reforms in the medical education sectors.
