Bus plunges into Trishuli River: 5 dead, 23 injured
KATHMANDU, July 27: At least 5 people died and 23 injured when a passenger bus fell into the Trishuli River in Tumlingtar, Ichhakamana Rural Municipality in Chitwan district after colliding with a truck on Friday.
The bus (NA 6 Kha 2506) heading to Pokhara from Kathmandu collided with the truck (Na 5 PA 7409) heading from the opposite direction and plunged about hundred meters into the bank of the river along the Prithvi Highway this afternoon.
According to the chief of the District Police Office, three among those killed are men while the two are women, injured 23 have been taken to Bharatpur Hospital for the treatment.
