KATHMANDU, August 1: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said the government was being cornered though it is just five month since its establishment.

During a program organized on the occasion of the Martyr Manoj-Jhapendra Memorial Day on Tuesday, Chairman Prachanda said government was being unnecessarily blamed.

“Some section has been smoldering with envy after the election,” he said, stressing the need to boost relations with people and the trade union.

He reminded that every revolution sees the counterrevolution of its 10th times strength. The unity within employees need to be kept intact, Chairman urged the employees.

The Chairman further urged the employees to work in a way it would make people realize the change because it was the government with two-thirds majority. Fairness and transparency were equally important, he added.

“Although the country saw change, prosperity is awaited,” he said, arguing that it would take five more years to institutionalize change and manage the system.
The Chairman acknowledged the role of employees on brining democracy in the country.

On the occasion, Minister for Federation Affairs and General Administration, Lal Babu Pandit, said the rights of trade unions were not curtailed. It could be discussed more, he added. RSS
