Japan to aid Nepali athletes to Olympics

KATHMANDU, Aug 4: An agreement has been reached between Nepal Olympic Committee and the Fukushima Tamura city of Japan to support Nepali athletes competing in the 2020 Olympics to hold in Japan.

Deputy Mayor of Tamura City Kawaguchi Naoyuki and NOC Chair Jeevaram Shrestha signed the agreement in presence of Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masamichi Saigo on friday. The event was held at the NOC office in Satdobato.

Accordingly, the Tamura City will support the pre-games training camp for the Nepali athletes competing in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Presently, a five-member team led by Deputy Mayor Nayoyuki is on a visit to Nepal.
