Two alleged kidnappers killed in Bhaktapur, kidnapped boy murdered

KATHMANDU, August 6: Two people have been killed on Monday afternoon for their alleged involvement in abducting 11-year-old Nishan Khadka.

According to the chief of Metropolitan Police Crime Division SSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Gopal Tamang and Ajaya Tamang were shot dead in an encounter with police at Doleshwor Jungle in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur.

Police have recovered a pistol, bullets and a mobile phone from the incident site which the kidnappers used to call the child’s parents.

Khadka was abducted from Kandaghari of Kathmandu on Sunday evening.

The abductors demanded a ransom of Rs 4 million from Khadka’s parents on Monday morning after the child was kidnapped.

The dead body of abducted child was found at the under construction house of Shyam Raut in Bhaktapur.
