Women take to street against rising cases of rape (Photo features)
KATHMANDU, August 7: National Democratic Women’s Association (NDWA) protested against the cases of rapes across the nation by organizing a protest rally in Maitighar Mandala, Kathmandu on Tuesday.
The organizers claimed that the protests were participated by over 100 women organized to protest against the rising cases of rape, killing and sexual violence against women and young girls and ensuring safety of women in private and public spheres.
The protestors demanded swift and stern action against the perpetrators while also demanding resignation of Home Minister, Ram Bahadur Thapa.
Along with they also demanded actions be taken against the Chairman of B&C Hospital, Durga Prasai, accusing him of making derogatory remarks against Nepali female students studying medicine in Bangladesh.
