Govt should ensure security for investment: Prachanda

PARSA, Aug 8: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ stressed the need to disseminate the message that there was an appropriate environment for investment in the country.

Chair Dahal, also former Prime Minister, while addressing a national assembly of the Industry and commerce association district and town level on Tuesday, focused on ensuring the security of investment, security to industries and security to freedom of income profit.

He said that the State should guarantee the security for big investment in the country. Dahal said that the goal of prosperity could not be achieved unless corruption was controlled.

Speaking at the same program, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Yadav said that government was alert to avoid duplication of taxes by federal, provincial and local governments.

FNCCI chair Bhawani Rana said that the government should build trade and investment friendly environment so as private sectors could invest in the country. RSS
