KATHMANDU, August 9: The 24th International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is being celebrated in Nepal on Thursday by organizing various programs. At the call of the United Nations, August 9 every year is observed as the International Day of the World’s Indigenous People.

Each year this day is celebrated around the world to promote and protect the rights of the world’s indigenous populations.
