Bakar-Eid being celebrated across the nation (Photo features)

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: The Islam religious people are celebrating their grand festival, Bakar Eid, with much fanfare today.

The festival which is to be continued for three days from today is also known as ‘Eid-Ul-Juha’. The Muslim community considers this as a festival of devotion.

On this occasion, Muslims visit the mosques, offer prayer to Allah (the Muslim god), perform Namaj Prayers and exchange with each other.

Muslims in Kathmandu are gathering at Jame Mosque in Bagbazaar and celebrating the festival with much gusto.
