I’m most dissatisfied with delayed probe: Home Minister
KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said he was the most dissatisfied one with the prolonged investigation that has not brought the culprit to book on Nirmala rape and murder case.
During his meeting with Nirmala’s parents at Home Ministry on Friday, Minister Thapa however said the investigation has reached near the murderer and the efforts were on to bring to book the culprits.
“We paid attention to Kanchanpur incident from the very beginning by directing the local police to probe the incident immediately and sending the CIB team again. The investigation was further intensified with high level probe team. In addition to the team, a separate investigation is also continuous,” he shared before Niramala’s parents.
He made it clear that those working carelessly on it would not be spared. It is natural that family is most afflicted for not getting the culprits behind the murder. The Ministry continues investigation in cooperation with the family, he assured.
In the meeting, Nirmala’s parents asked why the murderers were not ascertained in such long time. They complained with the Home Minister that police did not cooperate in the beginning. RSS
