Sujata Koirala charges govt. with failure to deliver



Kathmandu, Nov 22 : The Major opposition Party, Nepali Congress influential leader and Former Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala today accused the incumbent government of failure to deliver to meet the expectations of the people.

“The government with two-thirds majority is failing to deliver, which may bring a political crisis,” she warned at a face-to-face programme at Reporters Club Nepal in the capital.

Speaking at the program presided by Club’s President Mr. Rishi Raj Dhamala, She has also blamed the NC becoming weak as an opposition for flourishing corruption.

Also the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, she stressed the need for strengthening ties with neighbouring countries for the overall betterment of the country.

In another context, she emphasised that Koiralas should unite to consolidate the NC. “The NC should also focus on the building of its organisations from the centre to local levels.” Leader Koirala urged the party leadership to safeguard and consolidate democracy.
