Engineers’ role important for nation building: PM Oli
Kathmandu, Dec 8 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the technical human resources including engineers would have significant role in nation building.
Talking to Nepal Progressive Engineers’ Association at his residence today, PM Oli urged the Association office bearers to make engineering profession more respectable and credible.
“Government is positive to ensure minimum remuneration and professional security to engineers,” he said, reminding that national ambition is regarded as ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’.
However, as he said, good governance and development are prerequisite for materializing the national dream. The PM also sought engineers’ role to translate the national dream into action.
PM Oli further made it clear before the engineers that government was committed to working in a way that guarantees positive change in people’s lives. “Some people have decried government. Now, we respond to them with works,” he added.
The Association delegation led by its Chairman Shambu Bahadur Shrestha also submitted a memorandum to the PM.
On the occasion, PM Oli said he was ready to address the genuine demands they put forth. (RSS)
