Employees’ protest meaningless: Govt Spokesperson
Kathmandu, Dec 20 : Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has said there was no point in protesting against employees’ adjustment ordinance.
Making public the Cabinet decisions in a weekly press conference on Thursday, Minister and Spokesperson of the government, Banskota made it clear that the government had issued the ordinance ensuring the justice to all employees.
He also shared that there was a complaint hearing committee relating to the ordinance. The Spokesperson further said staging protests and disrupting public service delivery without any logics carries not meaning.
According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, a total of 46,000 employees would be adjusted in the federal level, while 22,000 in the provincial and 58,000 in the local levels.
He also shared that a 29-point action plan was on the process of implementation to coordinate among federal, provincial and local levels. Minister Banskota also said the upcoming winter session of the parliament would endorse various bills.
Moreover, the Minister opined that it was not good to drag the Head of the State into controversy over various issues as of purchasing helicopter and vehicle for the President. It is imperative for VVIPs’ use. Spokesperson Banskota shared that nation has achieved stability and was moving towards economic prosperity.
He committed to completing the much awaited Melamchi drinking water project in time. Disaster management rescue units in each seven provinces were being set up, according to him. RSS
