CPN leaders pitch for consolidating party internal unity

Kathmandu, Dec 21 : Leaders taking part in the discussions on the political report in the third meeting of the Standing Committee of the Nepal Communist Party today laid emphasis on consolidating the party internal unity.

Forty-one standing committee members have so far put their views on the political report. The meeting started on December 15 and is held at the party’s central office at Dhumrabarahi. Today’s meeting had started at 8 am and lasted for about three hours.

Ishwar Pokhrel, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Subash Chandra Nembang, Amik Sherchan, Mani Thapa, Gokarna Bista and Chhabilal Bishwakarma put their views today.

The party chairman duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had presented the political report in the first day of the meeting. The standing committee members have been commenting on the report.

The political report includes topics like the achievements of the government, party’s works, the works carried out and decisions made so far by the party secretariat as well as the unification of the party’s district and people’s organizations.

In the meeting, the leaders have commented on the government’s performance. Most of the leaders making their statements so far in the meeting have opined that the party and the government were under attack from various quarters and there was the need of strengthening the party’s internal unity.

The NCP Standing Committee will next meet at 8 am on December 22, Saturday. RSS
