Police arrest four youths on different charges

Mangalbare, Dec 27 : Police have arrested two persons on the charge of raping an elderly woman of Sandakpur rural municipality in Ilam district.

The arrested are Som Rai, 30, of Sandakpur rural municipality-4 of Ilam district and Uttam Shrestha, 27, of Buddha Shanti rural municipality-4 of Jhapa district.

They were arrested on Wednesday for raping the elderly woman at her house on Saturday. Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Ilam, Madhav Prasad Shrestha, said that investigation into the case was underway.

Similarly, police have arrested Saman Limbu of Maijogmai rural municipality-4 and Rajan Rai, 22, of Ilam municipality-9 on the charge of manhandling the employees of District Hospital, Ilam. (RSS)
