Govt bringing new health policy: DPM Yadav
Kathmandu, Dec 28 : Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav, has opined that the health sector should be kept in the first priority list of the government.
Speaking in a face-to-face programme organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal on Friday, DPM Yadav shared that his Ministry was working out to establish at least one Health Science Academy in each seven provinces.
Speaking at the program presided by the Club’s President Rishi Raj Dhamala, Minister Yadav further added that the government was planning to bring a new health policy in this month and it would be helpful to systematize the health sectors.
On another note he argued that 80 per cent doctors were working only in urban areas and the government should prepare the conducive environment to them so that they could go in remote rural areas.
