IGP Khanal pledges to book murders of Nirmala
Kanchanpur, Dec 30 : Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal on Sunday pledged to capture the murders of Nirmala Panta.
“Impartial investigations are ongoing. Any suspects, big or small, will be brought under investigations,” he said while addressing a discussion programme on the Nirmala case with women right activists at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
“We need help from all in this case. We prioritise women, children and senior citizens in particular when it comes to providing security.”
Even police personnel found guilty in the case by the police high level investigation committee would not be speared, he said.
He referred to some police personnel having faced departmental action after the report found them involved in the case. A process has been initiated to take action against some others involved in the case, he added.
