NC general convention should be held on time : Koirala

Biratnagar, Jan 1 : Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Shekhar Koirala stressed that the 14th general convention of the party should be held on time.

At a press meet organized by Nepal Press Union Morang here today, Dr Koirala expressed his confidence that the party would be consolidated and strong if the NC leadership held the general convention within mid-March 2020.

Leader Koirala clarified the NC was a party having belief on religious freedom and tolerance.

“Nepal’s national animal cow should be protected. The arbitrary religious conversion should also come to an end”, he added.

Though religion and politics are two different subjects, the Mahasamiti meet of the party had brought forth the agenda of Hindu state, Dr Koirala clarified. (RSS)
