Police should do their part in guaranteeing security to people: DIG Chhetri
Bhaktapur, Jan 2 : Deputy Inspector General of Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri stressed the need for the department to do its part in ensuring security to all citizen of the country.
Ensure On Nirmala Panta’s murder, he said the police are at their efforts to bring the culprit to justice. “The police are making their maximum efforts to arrest the guilty. Media has unnecessarily exaggerated the incident. But, it failed to bring to light police’s achievements in the case. So the department should continue to work to retain its clean image,” he said.
Chhetri was inaugurating the newly constructed building of the Metropolitan Police Sector at Balkot of Suryabinayak Municipality-3 on Wednesday. The earthquake resilient 19-room project cost Rs 22 million.
Likewise, Mayor of Madyapur Thimi Municipality Madan Sundar Shrestha stressed the need for the police to discharge their duty with discipline so as to ensure security to the people and retain their image. (RSS)
