‘Int’l forces were doing exercise to destabilize the communist unity’
Butwal, Jan. 6 : Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that new revolution has commenced for the establishment of socialism by ending the unitary form of governance through people’s movement.
Saying that an appropriate opportunity to move on the path of socialism was obtained, the former prime minister cautioned that the democratic achievements would collapse if the current government failed to work in favor of the people.
There remains the threat of counterrevolution if the government does not listen to the people’s voices, Prachanda said.
Releasing a magazine published by senior journalist Karna Bahadur Karki in Butwal on Sunday, Dahal also said that defeated forces were effortful to foil the achievements though the current government was working to take the nation and people towards prosperity.
Stating that national and international forces were doing their exercise to disillusion the people and destabilize the communist unity, Prachanda called upon all to join hands together to defeat such steps.
According to Dahal, the movement of world revolution was in the defensive status and pointed out the need for advancing the movement in a defensive manner.
Also speaking at the same progrmme, senior writer Dil Sahani voiced for vigilance of the media for the strengthening of democracy.
Meanwhile, addressing the party cadres in Butwal on Sunday itself, Chairman Prachanda said that the recent standing committee meeting of the NCP has delivered the message of unity and encouragement among the party rank and file.
On the occasion, Chairman Dahal ruled out the chance of reshuffle in council of ministers for now. We are seriously reviewing the government’s steps and ministers’ performance but there is no chance of cabinet reshuffle, he concluded.
