Bill passed against parliamentary practice: Leader Singh

Singh

KATHMANDU, Jan 26: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said the National Medical Education Bill was passed by breaching the parliamentary practice.

Inaugurating a badminton competition organized by Kingcong Sports Club here today, leader Singh wondered why the parliament could not be the forum for the opposition. The Speaker could play fair role, giving opportunity for the opposition to put forth their views.

The former Deputy Prime Minister Singh further said it was sheer political bias of the government to not provide approval to the hospitals being established after Girija Prasad Koirala and Sushil Koirala.

Although the Council of Ministers was proposed for the approval of 11 institutions, the institutes to be set up after the former prime ministers who played significant role to bring republic and new constitution in the country was a big mistake, he added. RSS
