Nepali Congress organizes protest rallies in various districts
KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has organised protest programs in different districts on Monday. The protest programs were held as per the NC’s central working committee meeting decision, it is said.
Party’s central leaders have addressed the rallies in different cities where the leaders have criticized the government.
NC Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi addressed the protest rally in Janakapurdham and criticized the government for its ‘inhuman’ activities. Nidhi also accused the government of going against democracy, federalism, inclusion and constitutional provision.
In Chitwan, NC spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma said that conspiracies were hatched to foil the federalism.
Addressing the protest rally, Sharma claimed that the government was not cooperating with the province governments to name the provinces and fix the provincial capitals.
In Pokhara, NC leader and lawmaker Gagan Kumar Thapa addressed the protest rally and claimed that the government has failed to control the unruly activities taking place in the country.
Leaders Jiban Pariyar, Yagya Bahadur Thapa and others also addressed the protest rally and said that the NC was in favour of good governance and parliamentary supremacy.
Meanwhile, another leader Pushpa Bhusal addressed the protest rally organised by the party in Hetauda. She said that parliamentary democracy was becoming weak since the ruling parties passed the bill from the House by disrespecting the parliamentary processes and exercises. RSS
