Lamichhane conferred ‘Breakthrough Star’ title in CPL
KATHMANUD, Feb 26: Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been conferred with the ‘Breakthrough Star’ title under the Caribbean Premier League (CPL T20) for his stellar performance in the West Indies last season.
The 18-year old right-handed leg spinner Lamichhane was drafted to play for the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the CPL in March last year. Lamichhane took seven wickets in five matches.
Currently in UAE for Pakistan Super League, Lamichhane has already played in CPL, Global T-20 Canada, Afghanistan Premier League, T-10 League, and Big Bash League.
Lamichhane was also the first Nepali cricketer to get a contract in the Indian Premier League in 2018. He was bought by the Delhi Daredevils.
