NC expresses grief over loss of lives including of Minister Adhikari in helicopter crash

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives of seven persons including Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, in a helicopter crash occurred in Taplejung district on Wednesday.

Issuing a press statement, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba said he regarded Minister Adhikari as a person who had struggled a lot since his student life and went on to become a Minister.

A helicopter of Air Dynasty carrying seven people onboard including Minister Adhikari crashed at Darebhir of Taplejung, killing all people onboard.

Recognizing Adhikari as a gentleman, able person and a rising youth leader, Deuba expressed his deepest sympathy to the government of Nepal, Nepal Communist Party and the bereaved family of Adhikari on his untimely death.

Deuba has also said the deaths of all seven people onboard the ill-fated helicopter- Managing Director of Yeti Airlines Aang Tshiring Sherpa, Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Authority Nepal, Birendra Prasad Shrestha, Director Durba Bhochhibhoya, Undersecretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Yubraj Dahal, Captain of helicopter Pravakar KC and security guard of Minister Adhikari, Arjun Kumar Ghimire has deeply saddened him.

Stating that the country has lost a successful aviation entrepreneur with the death of Sherpa, Deuba has prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to cope up with the loss.

The President of the major opposition party has also urged the government to find out the reason behind the helicopter crash.

Likewise, Bibekshil Sajha Party has also said that the death of seven people in the helicopter crash, including Minister Adhikari, had shocked and saddened it.
Praying for the eternal peace for the departed souls, the Party has prayed for the bereaved families for the strength to come to terms with this tragedy, mentioned the press statement issued by the party’s Spokesperson Surya Raj Acharya. RSS
