Police intervene with substitute teachers’ protest (In Pictures)

KATHMANDU, March 3: Police attempted to foil a protest rally organised by Resource Persons Substitute Teachers Struggle Committee in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The protestors have taken to the streets piling pressure on the government for their reinstatement as the substitute teachers. They organised a rally along the Baneshwor-Maitighar stretch in the capital city.

They accused the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of relieving them of their jobs by resending the resource persons to their jobs in the schools.

The protesting school substitute teachers were earlier employed in absence of the resource persons.

Earlier, the committee submitted a memorandum to the government putting forth various demands including their reinstatement. RSS
