Bhandari named RJPN presidium coordinator

KATHMANDU, March 20: Sharad Singh Bhandari has been elected as the coordinator of the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) presidium.

Bhandari was named the coordinator as per the RJPN’s provision of changing the coordinator every two months.

A meeting of the RJPN presidium held on March 13, 14 and 15 had decided to elect Bhandari to the post from March 20 and the leadership has been handed over to him accordingly, according to RJPN general secretary Keshab Jha.

The RJPN was formed on April 21, 2017 following the unification of six of the seven constituents of United Democratic Madhesi Front.

The RJPN’s presidium has six members who take turns in assuming the post of the party coordinator.

The RJPN is convening its general convention on coming April 20-23, which will elect the party new leadership.
