NC endorses party regulation with space for amendments

KATHMANDU, July 15: A meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee has endorsed the party regulation-2076 BS.

The meeting held on Sunday unanimously endorsed the regulation providing authority to the drafting committee make necessary changes in consensus based on the recommendations received on the draft of the amended regulation, shared Krishna Poudel, chief secretary of NC party office.

Drafting Committee Coordinator Ramesh Lekhak had presented the ‘Nepali Congress Regualtion-2076 BS’ on the first day of the ongoing central committee meeting of the party on 7 July.

The central committee has decided to adjourn the ongoing meeting of the party for some days to mobilize its rank and file in rescue and relief operations in keeping with the loss of lives and properties in several parts of the country due to rain-induced disasters.

Central leaders including senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Arjun Narsingh KC, Mahesh Acharya, Prakash Sharan Mahat had aired their views in the central committee meeting chaired by President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Next meeting of the central committee will take place again at 1.00 pm on 23 July following participation in relief and rescue operations, Poudel informed. RSS
