KATHMANDU, July 15: The death toll from flooding and landslides triggered by torrential rain has climbed to 67, according to Police.

Of the 67 persons killed in flooding and landslides, 41 are male and 26 female.

Six were killed in Makwanpur, five were killed in Lalitpur, Bhojpur and Rautahat each, four in Makwanpur, four each in Okhaldhunga, Siraha and Sindhuli, three each in Kathmnadu, Khotang, Dhanusha and Kavrepalanchowk, two each in Jhapa, Udayapur, Parsa, Bara, Mahottari, Dhading and Dolpa and one each in Ilam, Panchthar, Morang, Sunsari, Ramechhap, Chitwan, Palpa and Dang in flood and landslide related incidents.

At least, 43 persons(23 males and 20 females) sustained injuries while 30(18 males and 12 females) are missing in and rain affected areas.

As many as 1446 persons have been rescued successfully.
