CHITWAN, Aug 7: The police have found that Journalist Shalikram Pudasaini recorded two videos on his mobile phone before he committed suicide.

The 27-year-old journalist was found hanging by a ceiling fan in Room 202 at Hotel Kangaroo in Narayangadh of Chitwan under mysterious circumstances on Monday.

“The police have found two recorded videos on his mobile phone. The police primary investigation suggests that the reason behind Pudasaini’s suicide is demotivation,” said Superintended of Police (SP) Dhan Bahadur Malla.

SP Malla shared that in those 8-minute and 3-minute videos, Pudasaini has mentioned about this property details and asked his spouse to stay with his family cordially as he would be no more.

Furthermore, police have discovered the stash of anti-depression medicines with Pudasaini. He was learned to have taken the medicine for quite a while.

But, adding a new dimension to his death, Pudasaini, in the video, has mentioned two of his colleagues and a woman behind his choice to kill himself, according to reports.

“In those videos, Pudasaini has mentioned that he was going to kill himself because of some persons,” said SP Malla.

It has not been made clear who Pudasaini was referring to and whose names were mentioned in the video.

According to reports, Pudasaini has mentioned the name of a journalist in the video.

Police have not made all the details on the death public, stating that they are looking further into this case minutely. Considering the chance of the case being influenced, SP Malla said that all the details could not be divulged.

The final rites of Pudasaini will be performed today while legal consultations will be made for further procedure, according to the deceased’s neighbor Pudashaini.

Journalist Pudasaini was working with the Mountain Television. He was also was associated with News 24 television until two months ago.
