KATHMANDU, Aug 12: The Mondays of the Nepali month Shrawan are considered holy and is believed to carry a great religious significance.

On Mondays, both married and unmarried Hindu women take fast and pay a visit to Shiva temples and offer worship to Lord Shiva.

The month Shrawan is considered as the auspicious period to worship Lord Shiva and it is believed that worshipping Lord Shiva during this period can fulfill their wish for the long life of their husband or getting a good husband.

Hundreds of devotees were seen queuing up at Pashupatinath temple since early morning today to mark the last Monday of the holy month Shrawan.

After offering worship to Lord Shiva, devotees were capturing their moments at Pashupatinath. And of course why not take a selfie!
