Govt planning to widen Tinkune-Airport-Tilganga road section to 12 lanes

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: The government is planning to upgrade the Tinkune-Airport-Tilganga road, a section of Ring Road in the capital, to 12 lanes soon.

According to authorities at the Department of Roads (DoR), the road section will be developed as a model urban road. The road will be expanded to 62 meters according to the new plan.

The Department is preparing the final design of the project. The design is expected to be finalized by mid-September.

The Government of Nepal will invest itself in the project, according to DoR.
