ANFA Kaski President Gurung arrested on charge of banking offense

POKHARA, Jan 24: All Nepal Football Association Kaski district President Milan Gurung has been arrested on charge of banking offense.

District Police Office Kaski arrested Gurung was arrested from Pokhara on Friday.

His arrest comes a day after Gandaki provincial lawmaker Deepak Manange aka Rajiv Gurung was arrested for manhandling Gurung during the opening ceremony of Gandaki Inter-provincial Chief Minister Cup football tournament. Gurung had filed a complaint against Manange accusing him of organized violence.

Manange had also publicly accused Gurung of fraud and corruption.

However, Gurung’s arrest has no connection with the confrontation with Manange, according to the police.

“A local entrepreneur has filed a case of banking offense against Gurung,” said the police.
