Paudel

Kathmandu, Feb 9: Nepali Congress Vice- President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that demise of former Prime Minister and NC President Sushil Koirala has caused an irreparable loss to the country’s politics, democratic norms and values, and the party.

Talking to media persons at Koriala’s residence in Maharajgunj, Poudel said that President Koirala was active to transform the Madhes agitation into consensus in the recent days by firmly keeping his democratic norms and beliefs.
Saying that he was highly grieved by the demise of Koirala, the NC Vice-President said that late Koirala’s contributions to the nation, people and democracy were crucial.
“We will work unitedly to fulfil Koirala’s dreams. The responsibility of promulgating the constitution through the Constituent Assembly (CA) has been completed when Koirala was at the helm of the government leadership and the country has moved ahead to the constitution’s implementation.”
Poudel has also urged the NC leaders, cadres, well-wishers and all Nepalis to remain patience in this hour of grief.
