Ruling parties take Dashain break, talks after feast
KATHMANDU: While people are getting back home to celebrate Dashain with their well wishers, ruling coalition partners- UCPN Maoist and JDMF- also officially dropped down the imperative task of forging consensus on Saturday.
A meeting of senior leaders of both parties at the Prime Ministers’s residence in the capital decided to take a break from the complicating politics to celebrate Dashain.
The meeting concluded that the they will re-escalate consensus talks with other political parties after Dashain and will also adopt maximum flexibility to resolve the ongoing political status quo.
Post Dashain discussions will centre on reinstating Constituent Assembly or going for fresh elections as demanded by opposition parties- Nepali Congress and CPN UML.
The next meeting of the coalition has been scheduled for October 31. Emerging from the meeting, spokesperson of ruling coalition alliance, FDRA, Prem Bahadur Singh said that the meeting has decided to hold talks with other parties after the Dashain festival. He claimed that talks after the festival will be decisive.
