Kaligandaki corridor is the most happening tourist destination in Nepal
KATHMANDU: Locals residing on the banks of Kaligandaki River in Nawalparasi have come up proactively to develop the river bank corridor a tourism destination.
People have engaged their coordinated efforts with a plan to develop the river bank corridor stretching from Gaindakot to Rakuwa.
Among the historical and religious sites in Nawalparasi are Thambesi of Kotthar, Ramesworghat of Bulingtar, Ghumarighat of Bharatipur and Mithukaram, Akaladevi temple of Dedgaun and Maulakalika temple of Gaindakot.
‘We have put on our efforts to conserve Ramesworghat as it is popular historical religious site, said former Chairperson of Bulingtar VDC, Padma Raj Giri.
It may be noted that the river bank could be utilized to generate income and alleviate poverty in the region. RSS
