New committee of Kuwait-based Laligurans Cultural Family formed



KUWAIT: Folk singer Rajendra Birahi has been elected the Chairman of Kuwait-based Laligurans Cultural Family from the first convention held on 18 January.

The Nepalis migrant workers in Kuwait city had established the organization aiming to promote Nepali cultures and arts. On the occasion, outgoing chairman of the committee BB Malla and other members and patrons of the outgoing committee were present.

The 15-member new working committee was elected unanimously for two years. Manoj Monsoon and Dipak Limbu were selected the vice-presidents of the committee while D B Lopchan and Madhav Poudyal are general secretary and secretary, respectively.
Manita Rasaili, Babita Gurung, Dev Limbu, Som Rasaili, Prem Katwal, Rajan Ghimire and Binod Binijarjara, among others are the members of the committee.
