Nepali fighting against cancer in Australia dies



AUSTRALIA: A Nepali student who was fighting against cancer in an Australian hospital died while receiving treatment on January 17. Pradip Tuladhar Sikarmi died of cancer at Peter Mack Cancer Hospital in Melbourne.

Tuladhar, originally from Damak of Jhapa district, was living in Melbourne with his wife for some years. He was diagonesed with cancer nearly one and a half years ago. The last rites of Tuladhar would be held at Springvale Cemetery on Monday (21 January).

The last rite of an individual costs up to 9,000 Australian Dollars. Different Nepalis organizations active in Australia have urged the Nepalis communities in Australia to help in fundraising for performing the last rites of Tuladhar.
