New team of Nepal People’s Progressive Forum Kuwait elected

KUWAIT CITY: The second convention of Nepal People’s Progressive Forum Kuwait chapter on 25 January electing Thakur Prasad Poudyal as the chairman of the Forum.

The convention elected Amrita Darnal, I P Bhattarai and Dawa Thokar as the vice-chairpersons while Dev Gharti was elected the general secretary. Similarly, the convention elected Shyam Parajuli as secretary and Mrs Tara Poudel as treasurer while Arjun Mahat, Maya Neupane, Bhim KC and Karma Ghole, among others are the members of the new committee.

The program was presided over by Kumar Jhapali.

Chairman of Non Resident Nepalis Association Kuwait chapter Rajendra Tamang, chairman of Federation of Nepalis Journalist Kuwait chapter Sujan KC and editor of Marubhumi Koseli Toya Dahal had also expressed their opinions on the occasion. Likewise, Mount Everest Club Chairman Dharma Raj Giri, vice-chairman of Magar Association Kuwait Manu Bhujel and Nepa-Kuwait cultural Forum Chairman Tikaram Acharya, among others expressed best wishes to the new working committee and urged all Nepalis living in Kuwait to unite for their causes.

During the program, artistes of Lali Gurans Cultural Family and Nepal-Kuwait Cultural Forum performed different cultural shows.
